Pennstate Pipeline Solutions Ltd are a leading company based within the water and electrical sector and are looking to recruit staff/crews for ongoing work in the Midlands, Birmingham, Derbyshire and throughout the UK. The successful candidates will be part of a 5-man team on various water rehabilitation schemes or several larger teams on both water rehab as well as electrical ducting Schemes for Western Power Distribution.
There will also be an element of domestic, private side maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Site duties on water rehabilitation schemes as well as electrical duct laying schemes for WPD
- Communicating with the supervisor and other colleagues as required to update them on progress, timely communication when unexpected issues arise on site
- To ensure site and work complies with relevant Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and recycling takes place wherever possible
- Ensure correct use of plant, machinery, and materials and to minimise wastage
Desirable Skills and Requirements:
- NRSWA Operative-Units 001-009 or LA, O1-O8
- UK driving licence CAT C C1+ E (minimum)
- Mini Digger License
- Abrasive Wheels trained
- Confined Spaces
- EUSR Water Hygiene
- EUSR-SHEA Water
- Able to use an electronic device for recording work details
- Experience in excavation, backfilling & reinstatement of trenches on utility contracts, additional training will be available to proper applicants if required.
- Have reasonable written and numerical skills
Having any of the following tickets will be an advantage:
- Slinger Signaller Training
- Moling Training
- CPCS Mechanical excavator and Dumper training
- Deep Excavation Training
- CSCS Operative / Supervisors
- Electro Fusion and Butt Wielding training.
